Royal Enfield Bike Ride to Kasauli and Solan

Basically Kasauli is a cantonment and a small but beautiful town to relax for 2-3 days. It is located in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pardesh. It is the nearest hill station to city beautiful Chandigarh. It is situated at the altitude of 1927 meters (6322 ft). There are so many places to visit in Kasauli such as Monkey Point, Christ and the Bapist Church, Central Research Institute, Baba Balak Nath temple, Lawrence school etc. Let us have a detailed look of my motor bike trip to Kasauli.

Well, I have very little hobby to ride the motor bike but whenever I get the chance I definitely fulfill it. The same opportunity I got to ride with "West Delhi Riders".I joined this group around 4 months ago.  My cousin Jaswinder Singh added me to this group.

Lamba Enterprise
Jhilmil Dhaba Karnal
The journey started from Royal Enfield showroom of Lamba Enterprises, New Delhi at 6:30 AM. The total riders were 18 including me. The weather was very delightful which was perfect for wayfaring. Earlier I was little abashed because it was first time that I was riding on bike for long route but after 15-20 minutes I seemed well. After leaving New Delhi, Our first halt was at Jhilmil Dhaba in Karnal for Breakfast . Well there are several restaurants in Karnal but Jhilmil Dhaba is also a good option for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. At this point we had traveled about 125                                                                     kilometers.

After having breakfast and some rest we headed towards our second halt which was at Ambala. This place is having y-point where one path is going towards Chandigarh and other is going to Amritsar. Here you can see very big signboard of direction. All of riders gathered here for onward journey. Little thunder shower greeted us at Ambala. We dressed here raincoats. As we went further rain started very fast. Our next stop was at Jirakpur which is little confusing point because here is a  flyover which leads to Chandigarh, you will have to take a little care here. Take a right turn under the bridge towards Shimla. Once again we all assembled here.

On the way
From this point we headed towards Dharampur. There are two routs which leads to Kasauli from Dharampur, one is just before Dharampur and little long which is very good and other is after crossing the Dharampur and little short which is bit dilapidated. It is my suggestion to go from first route because I had a little bad experience from 2nd route. After 25 minutes of drive we reached to our hotel "Hill Pride Resort". It is located on first route and 5 kilometers before Kasauli. It was around 2:30 pm when we reached to our hotel. After check-in we did some rest then we had a very delicious lunch. After filling our stomach we decided to have some recreation. There is also very good recreation center in the hotel. We played snooker, table tennis etc.

Drinks time

Dinner
Now the day was starting to change a little bit in the dark. At night we decided to sit in the open air because the weather was very pleasant and the view from our hotel of Kasauli was looking like an Indian festival "Diwali". We had some tasty veg and non-veg snacks as a starter with some hard drinks. Don't get me wrong I do not drink much alcohol, just take a little drink to unwind. It was really very good moment when we were sitting in cluster. Later we had dinner. After spending very good time, we went to sleep.

Morning Time
Ride to Solan
Next morning we woke up at 8:00 am. The weather was little shiny but good. After getting ready we went for breakfast. It was so yummy I still can feel the taste. Around 11:00 am we planned to ride to Solan district which is about 30 kilometers from Kasauli. You have to come back to "Dharampur" to go to "Solan". After crossing Dharampur you will reach at "Kumarhatti". Again there are two routes to go to Solan one is from Barog which is short and other is bye-pass. The route of Barog is good. At Solan we had lunch at Bedi Chicken Center which is on the starting point on the way of Solan and Barog. At 5:00 pm we drove to return to Kasauli. After a one and half hour ride we arrived Kasauli. We went to market which is very good. You can enjoy Samosa burger and Jalebi (Indian Sweet) in this market. One of my friend "Himanshu" is very crazy about Samosa burger. Whenever he comes here, of course he eat this Samosa burger. After a short walk we rode back to our hotel. At 10:30 we had dinner and went to sleep.

Next morning I woke up at 7:00 am. I was in little hurry because there was an occasion of my daughter's birthday. Everyone was giving blessings to my daughter. At 8:00 am I was ready to go back. One of my friend "Lalit" was also got ready to go with me. We met to our friends and said goodbye to them. We rode back with great memories. It is my never to be forgotten trip with "West Delhi Riders".
